How to create your own vision board in 5 easy steps

Do you dare to dream? Do you have some unspoken wishes and visions in your mind? Do you catch your self wishing for things but then stop because it’s just not possible?

What would you say if I told you that you have everything you ask for?

Don’t look at me that way, I’m talking about the law of attraction. We attract what ever we think about, good or bad.

The vision board is a visual aid to help you firstly articulated what it is you want and secondly focus your thoughts on the positive messages you send your self instead of listening to that nagging inner voice, the self saboteur.

You are entitled to lead a healthy and prosperous life.

I dare you to visualise your self in the environment of your ideal abundant life.

If you are strong enough to allow your self to trust that the universe delivers on all your wishes then here we go, this is how to create your vision board.

Step 1 - Collect inspirational images or quotes for your board

Start by e-mailing or messaging your friends and ask them if they would like to donate their old magazines to you. You can also ask your local news paper agent or hair dresser if they are willing to sell / donate some of their old magazines.

Check your local library you can photo copy any images that inspire you or take a picture of it with your phone and print at home.

Make sure you search a wide verity of different magazines/books/news papers. Don’t limit your options. Luxury Homes, Vogue, Oprah Magazine, Yoga journal, Woman’s Health, Parenting, Money etc.

I would like to thank my hairdresser at Alarah Studio for donating their old Magazines to me.

Step 2 - Get your supplies

You will need:

1. A poster board or a large cork board

2. Scissors

3. Glue

4. Sticky tape or pins

Step 3 - Visualise and find images / quotes

Put on some calming background music, close your eyes and ask your self what it is you want?

If time and money were not a factor and you had it both, what would your life look like? Don’t restrict your vision.

You want a private jet, Designer bag, family holiday, your first home. Nothing you think of is wrong on your vision board you can have it all.

Go through your collection of magazines and tear our images that represent the feeling or vision you have in your mind of what you want.

I for example I used a print out of a weekly calendar to write an example of my perfect week, which I pinned. What does your perfect day look like?

You can cut out pictures, headlines or words that catch your eye.

Have fun with it.

Step 4 - Layout & Glue

Now go through all the images and lay them out on your board as you’d like. You may notice that some no longer apply to your vision.

You can organise your board and group your vision into areas such as health, family, career, relationships. Or you could simply distribute images randomly what ever feels right for you.

Step 5 - Happy you

Do you have a picture of your self where your face is radiant and happy? If not take one!!

Place this image in the centre. This represents you in the environment of your future where the universe has given you all the things you want.

Now that you have finished, hang your vision board in a place where you will see it often. If your vision changes change the vision board!

Your vision boards can be as elaborate as you like but they can also be targeted.

If you are interested in an over all picture of your life then you’ll search for a range of images. If however, you are focused on healthy & weight loss you’ll look at images of exercise, healthy food, bodies of fit models being active. Let your imagination run free because there are no limitations :)

The only limitations we have in life is the once we set our self.

If you are game and want to share I would LOVE to see your vision board.

Happy visualising
